Dr. Zeal Okogeri was born and raised in Afikpo village, which belongs to the Ibo ethnic group in southeastern Nigeria, West Africa. Growing up in Afikpo village provided Okogeri with ample opportunities for personal growth. Wisdom was passed down from the elders to the youth through oral tradition. Adolescent boys, including Okogeri, had to undergo rigorous traditional rites of passage and initiation into manhood. Thereafter, they are welcomed back into society as self-responsible adults, qualified to move the village forward and eventually hand it over to the next generation.
He left his native country at the age of fifteen and has spent most of his life in Europe and in the United States. Since leaving his native land, he has visited over thirty countries in pursuit of awareness. This has led to his appreciation of spiritual and cultural diversity.
Dr. Zeal Okogeri earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance with emphasis in International Business from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey; and holds a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Southern California University of Health Sciences in Los Angeles, California. He also attended the University of Athens in Greece to study Greek.
