Sailing with Mr. Séamus
Description:
Nicknamed "Famous Séamus" (pronounced Shaymus) he inspires his students with his heart and soul striking a transcending balance between fun, fitness, nautical education and life lessons.
Born and raised in Ireland, Séamus joined the American Navy at age 18 and retired as a Master Chief 26 years later. He fell in love with sailing while stationed at San Diego and, after being transferred in 1997, brought his passion to Honolulu—where he lives today with his wife Tina.
He has spent years crewing racing sailboats between the islands and sailed a Beneteau 427 from San Francisco to Hawaii. Séamus is a US SAILING Certified Instructor and Navy MWR Sailing Instructor. His knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm offer his students—both kids and adults alike—an unparalleled entrance into the wonders of the sport and the magnificence of the sea.
